Ms. Adrienne Pere holds a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education with a concentration in Biology, as well as a minor in Spanish from Louisiana State University, where she studied abroad in Xalapa, Mexico, in 2004. Ms. Pere also holds a Master in Teacher Leadership, as well as her Principal Certificate from Lamar University. Ms. Pere has been in the field of Education for 16 years. Throughout her career in education, she has taught science subjects ranging from 7th grade science to AP Biology.
This is Ms. Pere’s first year as an Administrator, with her most recent experience serving in the roles of District High School Science Lead Teacher and Instructional Coach, in both Spring Branch ISD, as well as her previous district, Adams 14, in Commerce City, Colorado. Ms. Pere will be stepping into the position of Sixth Grade Assistant Principal for the 2021-2022 School Year.
Ms. Pere enjoys building positive, academic success-promoting relationships with students and their families. She is always seeking ways to invite the Northbrook Middle community to be active partners in our scholars’ learning. When not greeting students or talking about pedagogy, it is quite likely she will be talking about her pets!
Laura Dawson is an Assistant Principal at Northbrook Middle School in Spring Branch ISD. Prior to this job, she served as the School Support Administrator in SBISD and previously as an Assistant Principal at Spring Woods High School. Laura hails from Oklahoma City where she grew up and attended the University of Oklahoma. She graduated with an English degree and went into the publishing and writing profession.
In 2000, Laura took her first teaching job as a substitute science teacher and never looked back. She has taught all grades, 5th through 12th including on level and Advanced Placement English. In her time outside of education, Laura enjoys playing competitive tennis and working in her art studio. She has two grown daughters, Delana who lived in Mexico City and Claire who lived in Austin. …And she has two cats: Frito and Norman!
Mrs. Quasha Monique Furr was born in Huntsville, TX and raised in the small nearby town of Coldspring, TX. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Houston, TX in 1997. Mrs. Furr holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition and Foods from the University of Houston. She earned a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Sam Houston State University.
Mrs. Furr has been in the field of education for 12 years. She began her career as a Dual Language teacher and over the years would go on to become a first grade teacher and a second grade teacher. Mrs. Furr began her educational leadership journey as a Literacy Coach for pre-k through 5th grade at Heritage Elementary in Spring ISD. Then, the desire to create a literacy rich environment that would meet the needs of scholars that required additional support at higher levels led her to be a Literacy Coach at Bammel Middle School in Spring, TX. Mrs. Furr joined the Spring Branch ISD family as a Multi-Classroom Leader at Northbrook Middle School during the 2020-2021 school year.
She is currently an assistant principal at Northbrook Middle School with the focus content areas of ELAR, ESL, and LOTE. Mrs. Furr has a desire to support a school culture that supports a love of learning and literacy.
